About the Youth Red Cross App
It is our passion to help people - and to teach children, parents and teachers about the know-how and benefits of safety certificates for our different subject areas such as traffic safety, first aid or swimming via the JRK App.
JRK Mobile Campus – further education together
With digitized education, the effectiveness of training courses can be increased and the sustainability of the knowledge acquired can be proven. In addition to successfully established training channels, the Red Cross Youth mobile app provides training where practice begins. It provides learning content where it is needed. In small bites for in between. Always and everywhere. Short and sweet, flexible and modular. A mix of formats and content imparts relevant knowledge in a playful and easy way for a lasting learning effect.
Microtraining via app is learning on the smartphone and in small steps. The mobile learning concept allows flexibility in terms of time and space and enables a self-directed and individualized learning experience, which - subsequently - serves to secure knowledge in the long term. Content is presented in short and compact flashcards and videos that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. The learning progress can also be checked at any time.
Innovative education and training with the JRK app
In general, the sets of questions are prepared in such a way that they can be worked on interactively. All content is easily accessible, can be updated quickly and scaled externally for parents, teachers and students. In addition, learning progress can be observed and learning impulses can be set where they are necessary.
The strategy – this is how learning works today
The Red Cross Youth uses the microtraining method for digital knowledge transfer. The essence of a wide range of knowledge content is prepared in a compact form and deepened through short and active learning steps. In classical learning, an algorithm is used for this. The questions are to be answered in random order. If a question is answered incorrectly, it comes again later - until it is answered correctly twice in a row in the learning unit. This creates a lasting learning effect.
In addition to classic learning, level learning is also offered. In level learning, the system divides the questions into three levels with different levels of difficulty and asks them randomly. There is a breather between each level to save the content as best as possible. This is necessary in order to achieve brain-friendly and sustainable knowledge acquisition. A final test makes the learning progress visible and shows where possible deficits lie and, if necessary, a repetition makes sense.
Learning stimuli through quizzes and/or learning duels
At the Red Cross Youth, learning is associated with joy! The playful learning approach is implemented via the possibility of quiz duels. Colleagues, friends and acquaintances can be challenged to a duel. This makes learning even more entertaining. The following game mode is possible: In three rounds of questions, each with 3 questions, it is determined who is the king of knowledge.
